Kagoshima-born Yohey Horishita is an illustrator and design instructor at a New York art school. Yohey crossed the ocean in 2005, where he enrolled in Alabama’s Jacksonville University before transferring to Savannah College of Art and Design to earn a Bachelors and Masters Degree in Illustration. He moved eastward to Manhattan soon after, doing cover design for magazines, newspapers, and books, along with poster and stationary design. His detailed and uniquely colored works has won many awards in the United States.
