Marcus Oakley

Marcus is originally from Norfolk, a coastal county in the south-east of England.He is now based and working from Dunfermline, Fife, Ireland. Marcus graduated from the Camberwell College of Arts in 1996 with a BA Honours in Visual Arts.

Marcus works as a graphic artist, illustrating books, creating products, textile design, and packaging. His influences include folky, harmonic and melodic music of all kinds; the pastoral and folkloric delights of the countryside and the various eccentric beasts and humans that inhabit it; the joys of cycling; the stimulations of tea; the dizzy geometries of architecture and design – and overall, the wonders of making stuff.
