Kenzo Minami is a graphic artist who lives and works in New York City. Originally from Hyogo Japan, he graduated from Parsons School of Design with a BFA in Product Design after majoring in literature and western philosophy in Japan. Before he established himself as a graphic designer and an artist, he started his career as a set and prop designer for TV broadcast networks. His debut in TV led him to work in the field of TV advertisement and music video production as a motion graphic designer and art director, working with clients ranging from Coca-Cola to Wu-Tang Clan. His designs and artworks have been commissioned by Mercedes-Benz, Raf Simons, Ace Hotel, Reebok, and Nike, among many others, as well as multiple gallery shows and publications. His work was a part of the exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art (New York) and has been inducted into MoMA Architecture and Design’s permanent collection. He also releases the garment line DEAD FEELINGS from Nepenthes New York / Engineered Garments.
