Regina Heinlein was born in 1980 in Southern Germany where she grew up as a forest ranger’s daughter, surrounded by nature and the little dachshunds her father was breeding for hunting. During her studies in communication arts she focused on illustration and photography. Her drawings often contain ideas or forms of trees and female looking figures.

“I like trees because they are growing towards the light without hesitating. Whenever there comes an obstacle into their way, they patiently grow around it without giving the impression of feeling disadvantaged.”

In 2003, she moved to Berlin, where she first spent some enriching months with the illustrator Tina Berning. Since then she is working for clients and on her own projects in the time between.
